Edmund Optics Imaging Lab Module 1: Imaging Overview
Gregory Hollows, Director of Machine Vision Solutions, introduces Edmund Optics' first-ever Edmund Optics Imaging Lab with Module 1. Learn how to specify components in an imaging system and how they work. Become an expert on the fundamental parameters of field of view, working distance, resolution, depth of field, sensor size, and contrast in this easy-to-follow nine-part series.
Hello, and welcome to the Imaging Lab. My name is Greg Hollows. This is a place where we're going to help you understand how to specify components for your imaging system, and how they work. This module we're going to take some time to go over fundamental parameters of an imaging system. We're going to talk about things like, field of view working distance, resolution, depth-of-field and sensor size. Then we're going to proceed on to spend a little bit more time talking about resolution and contrast and how they work together and get more detailed about depth-of-field. I hope you enjoy it.
